Overcoming water column, risk of hydraulic fracture failure, water-saturated sediments

As part of a pollutant remediation project, we conducted 30 exploratory boreholes in Lake Zurich near Uetikon. Initially, we had to penetrate up to 11 meters of water to access the lake sediments, enabling us to drill boreholes of up to 11 meters deep. This presented a significant challenge given the existing conditions.

Adrian, Andrzej, and Mika successfully retrieved drill cores of the highest Studersond quality, despite the demanding circumstances.
