1965
The brothers Arved, René, and Eugen Studer initially perform manual dynamic probing to finance their studies in electrical and civil engineering. Later, they design a device for the automatic recording of dynamic probe diagrams in the field.
1969
After four years of development, the three brothers first deploy their mechanical dynamic probing machine in practice. Over time, additional types of dynamic probing machines are introduced.
1976
1987
Eugen Studer develops the first device for soil sample collection. His goal is to create a method that provides the least disturbed soil samples possible.
1999
In order to perform all types of dynamic probing, the company develops and patents a new rammer. Particularly practical for users: the newly built dynamic probing machines can also be used as maneuverable tracked vehicles.
2008

STUDERSOND AG opens a 3000 m² workshop at the new property in Uebeschi. In addition to 1100 m² of built-up space with workshops and offices, the facility offers a spacious surrounding area.

A breakthrough in technological development: The new STUROCK Trial rotary-impact core probe is launched, capable of performing drilling operations in challenging terrain as well as in rock formations.
2021
After years of research and development, the new drilling rig TL18geo is introduced.
2024
Construction work begins in Heimberg for the new headquarters of Studersond AG.
Following the challenging civil engineering work, the floor slab of the first floor will be concreted at the end of March 2025.
